  • It depends on the size of the damaged area, what caused the damage, and how much texture and color matching the repair needs.

  • Hairline cracks are common and usually cosmetic.

    Cracks wider than about an eighth of an inch, cracks that keep growing, or cracks with staining around them can mean water is getting behind the stucco, and that’s worth fixing before it spreads. If you’re not sure, have us take a look. Catching a small repair early is a lot cheaper than repairing the wall behind it.

  • Yes. Cement stucco is made from Portland cement, lime, sand, and water, and none of those materials burn. A properly built three-coat stucco wall assembly is commonly rated for about one hour of fire resistance, which is one reason stucco is a popular exterior finish in Texas.

  • Termites eat wood from the inside out, so the surface often looks fine while the structure underneath is failing.

    Look for wood that sounds hollow when tapped, buckling or blistered paint, sagging floors, doors and windows that suddenly stick, and small holes in drywall.
